The self-check-in process needs work!!! Having multiple entrance codes is confusing!!! A room without a window in the bathroom is less than ideal!!! A missing hairdryer was frustrating!!! Check the fridge because it was not operational!!!

Absolutely great! Wonderful, small and clean, very romantic place to stay. The stuff is helpfull and kind. They gave us a free map and made our stay nice and easy.

Great staff and fantastic local knowledge. Recommended excellent restaurant and what to see and how to get about.

What they got right and wrong

The location is fantastic! Centrally located near major sights, the easy access to the water taxi made our exploration easy.

The self-check-in process can be frustrating. It lacks personal touch and may detract from the overall experience.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean, quiet and well situated.

First, among the things to like is the Location of the Locanda Herion. It is an easy 10-15 walk from the Santa Lucia Train station and two minutes to the San Marcoula vaporetto station. This is very convenient. Next, the staff are wonderful and eager to provide whatever reasonable assistance they can. The breakfast is a typical continental type of fare - fruit, juice, rolls and coffee - not extensive but adequate. As this little hotel grows, this feature should definitely be expanded. Our room was clean although a little spartan compared to some of the others (shown in the pictures) but fully have met our needs with one exception. We were provided two single beds pushed togther instead of a double bed. That was unexpected as we had requested one double bed!. It would have been okay if they had used a double frame to hold the two beds togther but alas did not and the beds separated in the night. Also, there is not a clearly marked escape route in case of fire or other disaster. This again appears due to the newness of this hotel's ownership. The value for the money was good not great. All things taken into consideration, we would stay here again - the owners are really nice and very willing to help as they can. We note there are many good eating places with 10 minutes walk. For "real" Venetian masks, we recommend a place called Ca De Sol where the masks are actually made and handpainted - .

The location near the Venice Saint Lucia train station is fantastic. Easy access to the water bus made exploring the city easy. The air conditioning in the room kept us comfortable during the heat. We noticed the room was clean, but it lacked a hairdryer. Getting into the building with the access code was sometimes tricky. It didn't always work on the first attempt, which could get frustrating. The room had no tea or coffee making facilities, pushing us to discover local cafes instead.

We were offered great breakfasts with warm croissants and yogurt. It was conveniently located, where a historic casino is easily reachable.

Very impressed with deluxe queen room. Marvellous and amazing location, lovely area, right by vaporetto stops, train station and bus stop, Santa Lucia train station and the centrum, watter bus, railway station. Nearby Trattoria Bar Pontini - great place to chill out.

Great spot for a group getaway! We enjoyed the cozy decor and the nice patio for quick breaks. The location is super convenient, just a short stroll to major attractions. Highly recommend checking out the nearby restaurants and the water bus transport to easily explore the area. It added to our overall fun experience!

The access codes for the building were a bit tricky to get right, causing some delays.

The location is 🔥, only a 25 min walk to the city center! The breakfast setup on the terrace was nice too. Just wish there was a hairdryer in the room 😅

Great semi-private terrace!

We stayed in a Beautiful Double Room and loved the proximity to Venice's main attractions. The location was perfect for walking around, great with our little kids. Plus, the breakfast setup was quite lovely.

My kids wished the check-in process was smoother.

Great air conditioning, but Wi-Fi was spotty and made it tough to research nearby activities.
